The Ancient Mariner® to imponująca angielska róża parkowa o niezwykle obfitym i długotrwałym kwitnieniu. Jej kwiaty są bardzo duże, pełne, w formie klasycznych rozet, o intensywnym różowym kolorze – wewnętrzne płatki są ciemniejsze, a zewnętrzne jaśniejsze, co nadaje im głębi i delikatności jednocześnie.
Róża ta wyróżnia się mocnym, klasycznym zapachem różanym z nutą mirry, który podkreśla jej romantyczny charakter.
Krzew jest silny, energicznie rosnący i dobrze się krzewi. Osiąga wysokość ok. 150–180 cm i szerokość ok. 120 cm, tworząc okazałą, krzaczastą sylwetkę. Kwitnie obficie od późnej wiosny aż do jesieni, stale obsypując się falami kwiatów.
